About Tilak 

World’s famous fine jewelry houses like Graff, Bucchelllati, Cartier, Bulgari; various auction houses and museums have inspired Tilak at a very young age to do what he is doing today.
As a second generation jeweler, Tilak knows it takes lot of knowledge, skills, practice and very good team to be a successful fine jeweler.
To build upon his father’s traditional jewelry knowledge, Tilak started learning jewelry design in 2003. He then went onto learn diamond cutting, polishing, diamond grading and sorting at Indian Diamond Institute in 2005. Upon graduating, Tilak apprenticed as a diamond selector at Ganjam, a top luxury brand with more than 125 year legacy specializing in D color and IF clarity diamond jewelry.
Tilak continued his studies Gemological institue of America as a Graduate Gemologist (GG). He decided in 2009 to start ARUN GEMS INTERNATIONAL Co., Ltd in Bangkok, Thailand, specializing in the Gem & Diamond trading. In 2014 he visited Graff in Geneva, Switzerland, attended a auction at Drouot in Paris, France and Rapport diamond auctions in Mumbai, India and Hong Kong.
Tilak has visited various diamond and gem mines on the African continent, gem cutters in Sri Lanka, International Trade Centers in New York, Belgium, Hong Kong and still continues to attend major jewelry trade shows across the globe. Presently, Tilak is a candidate of American Society of Appraiser to become a Master Appraiser, the highest accreditation anyone could get in the Gems & Jewelry industry.
